Spreading Easter Joy at a Local Care Home

As part of Rowan School’s ongoing commitment to community engagement, two learners recently visited a local residential care home to share Easter celebrations and spread joy among residents.

During the visit, Elizabeth and Leyland delivered a generous collection of donations, including Easter eggs, chocolates, biscuits and traditional hot cross buns. The thoughtful contributions, kindly provided by staff and families, were warmly received and helped create a sense of celebration during the Easter period.

The learners spent time with residents, engaging in conversations and sharing smiles, creating meaningful connections across generations. The visit offered a valuable opportunity for Elizabeth and Leyland to experience the importance of kindness, empathy and giving back to the community.

Care home staff expressed their appreciation for both the donations and the visit itself, highlighting how much the residents enjoyed the treats and the companionship. Moments like these can make a significant difference, particularly during seasonal celebrations such as Easter.

Snita Verma, Principal at Rowan School, said:

“We are incredibly proud of Elizabeth and Leyland for representing the school with such kindness and compassion. Experiences like this are so important in helping our learners understand the value of community and the impact small acts of generosity can have on others.”

The visit was a heartwarming success and reflects Rowan School’s dedication to nurturing not only academic development, but also strong values and community spirit.
