Learners in Willow Class at Rowan School have been developing their physical skills and teamwork this term through an exciting unit of dodgeball in PE.
Throughout the term, learners have focused on building key skills including throwing with accuracy, ducking, jumping, aiming, and defending. Each week, they worked hard to refine their techniques, showing determination and resilience as they sought to improve both individually and as part of a team.
As their confidence grew, Willow Class took part in friendly competitive games, applying their developing skills in real match situations. The sessions not only strengthened physical coordination and agility, but also supported communication, strategy, and cooperation.
Importantly, learners demonstrated excellent sportsmanship at the end of each match, shaking hands with their opponents and showing respect for one another.
Principal Snita Verma commented:
“It has been fantastic to see Willow Class developing both their physical confidence and their sportsmanship through dodgeball. Physical Education plays an important role in promoting resilience, teamwork and mutual respect, and Willow Class have represented these values brilliantly.”
Well done to Willow Class for their effort, teamwork and positive attitudes throughout the term.
