Elm Class Buzzing with Excitement!

Learners in Elm Class at Rowan School have been working hard on their Junior Duke Award this year, and their most recent challenge has had everyone buzzing! As part of the Our Future activity, the children designed and created a beautiful bee garden to support bees, butterflies, and other vital pollinators.

The learners showed fantastic teamwork and creativity as they planted flowers, discussed the role of pollinators in our environment, and shared their knowledge with real confidence. The excitement was clear to see as Elm Class got stuck in, making a meaningful contribution to the school grounds while also supporting local wildlife.

Snita Verma, Principal of Rowan School, said:

“We are so proud of Elm Class and the way they have embraced their Junior Duke Award journey. The bee garden is a wonderful example of how our learners can connect hands-on activities with wider learning about the world around them. Their enthusiasm, creativity, and sense of responsibility shine through, and this is exactly what we want to nurture at Rowan.”

Elm Class has shown incredible enthusiasm and a positive attitude throughout their Mini Duke journey, a fantastic achievement and a project that will continue to benefit both learners and the environment for years to come.
